"Doing nothing for others is the undoing of ourselves"

Senior Community Centers (SCC)

Senior Community Centers has been transforming the aging experience of low income and homeless San Diego seniors since 1970. They provide 2,100 meals a day to needy seniors in San Diego, along with housing services, social workers, nurses and nurse case managers, civic engagement and a variety of other wrap around services. With over 43 years of grassroots experience, they have developed programs and services that fill the void needed to keep seniors healthy and happy. "We are their family and strive to keep these needy seniors at home and independent for as long as possible.  With a lifetime of experience to share with our community, the thousands of smiling seniors we serve at Senior Community Centers have found a new beginning where they learn that the best is yet to come."

North County Solutions for Change

North County Solutions for Change was founded in 1999 by social entrepreneurs Chris and Tammy Megison so that babies would not have to sleep on the floor of an emergency winter shelter.  With driving commitment that "every child has a home," Solutions for Change is a recognized leader in establishing a replicable and sustainable model known as the Soltuions University.  It involves companies, individuals, and the whole community as partners in providing permanent solutions to homelessness for children and families.
